(PDF with photo) April 9, 2018 – The Colonel Richardson Middle School Humanities class recently completed their second successful food drive of the 2017-2018 school year. The winter food drive was held from November through December 2017 and finished with a total of 946 food items. During the spring food drive, a total of 409 food items were collected. The impressive number of donations benefited food pantries in the local community.
The purpose of the Humanities class is to learn about leadership and how to effectively exhibit that quality. According to the students, “Our class is dedicated to improving our school and community, and to reaching out to others in our world. We are proud of who we are and what we stand for, and want to continue to do this work for the people in our school and community.”
