Caroline Students & Staff Hear the Crunch!
(PDF) March 16, 2018 - On Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 9:15 a.m., Caroline County Public School students and staff participated in a synchronized apple crunch event known as Hear the Crunch!
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Patricia Saelens joined kindergarteners at Ridgely Elementary to be a part of the effort to crunch as loudly as possible at the exact right moment. According to one witness, the noise was quite impressive.
Held during National School Breakfast Week, Hear the Maryland Crunch! highlights the importance of the School Breakfast Program in ensuring that all children get a healthy start to their day. In Caroline County Public Schools, 3,850 breakfasts are served daily in all classrooms through the Maryland Meals for Achievement Program.
