(PDF) Feb. 26, 2018 - Caroline County Public Schools assures the public that the safety and security of our students and staff is our number one priority. While we have not found any evidence of a credible threat at this time, because of the recent tragedy in Florida, we have had an increased presence of law enforcement in all of our schools. This is because of the strong relationships that we have with local law enforcement, and the high value that they place on student and staff safety.
We continue to respond in a vigilant manner and support the "see something, say something" concept. We encourage all students to speak with staff about anything that they may find troubling. Students who need additional support may seek time with their school counselor.
Please talk to your children about the importance of taking this situation seriously and discouraging any false accusations that could cause undue stress and fear to students and staff. We appreciate the continued public support as we work together to ensure our schools are a safe, inviting learning environment.
