The Caroline County Public School system will begin deploying a new visitor management system to all of our county school buildings. The Raptor system will better allow us to track visitors in our schools and provide us with a safer, more monitored environment for our students and staff.
Upon entering a Caroline County School, visitors will be asked to present a valid state-issued ID (driver’s license, state id card), which will be scanned into the system. Upon reading the information, Raptor will check national and local databases to identify those individuals that should not be allowed in our schools. Once entry is approved, Raptor will issue a badge that identifies the visitor, the date, and the purpose of his/her visit. The visitor badges must be returned to the office at the conclusion of the visit so that they can be logged out of the system.
The safety of our students is our highest priority and the Raptor visitor system provides a consistent way to aid in keeping away people who may present a danger to our students. Therefore, all visitors to the county schools must be scanned into the system and obtain a visitor badge.
