  Preston Elementary School students led the Pledge of Allegiance during the September Board of Education meeting. The board held a


 The Board of Education held a moment of silence in memory of former Board of Education member and Caroline County Public Schools educator Ruth Mink.


 The Board of Education approved resolutions for National Hispanic Heritage Month which runs from September 15 to October 15 and also National Principals Month.

During the Board Member's Reports, Board Vice President Walter Palmer III, announced he would not be seeking re-appointment to the Board of Education in December.

RECOGNITIONS

Mr. William Allen, Supervisor of Pupil Services presented the recognitions to schools for implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) and receiving the following awards for the 2016-2016 school year:

The Caroline Career and Technology Center received the Bronze Award. The bronze award is given to schools that are in the implementation phase for school wide PBIS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lockerman Middle School received the Silver Award. The silver award is given to schools that have successfully implemented school-wide PBIS and can demonstrate that their implementation has had positive effects on their discipline data for at least one year.

 

 

 

 

 

The following schools received the Gold Award. The gold award is given to schools that are demonstrating sustainability for the system, practices, and data utilization for school-wide PBIS and can demonstrate that their implementation has had positive effects on both their discipline and achievement data for the last two years.

Greensboro Elementary School received a Gold Award for PBIS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Ridgely Elementary School received a Gold Award for PBIS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Denton Elementary School received a Gold Award for PBIS.

 

 

 

 

Federalsburg Elementary School received a Gold Award for PBIS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Preston Elementary School received a Gold Award for PBIS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Colonel Richardson Middle School received a Gold Award for PBIS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Colonel Richardson High School received a Gold Award for PBIS.
