Kristen Robinson, a Greensboro Elementary School parent, was named a semifinalist for the 2016 Maryland Parent Involvement Matters Award.
Two Caroline Career and Technology Center students were recognized for winning a Gold Medal at the SkillsUSA state competition for best team web design. Shelby Sherbert and Jacob Karnes will travel to Kentucky this summer to compete at the national SkillsUSA championship. REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS
The Board heard a presentation on an elementary scheduling proposal for Denton Elementary School by Denton principal Missy Butler and Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Dr. Patricia Saelens.
The Board approved the following action items:
- Child Abuse and Neglect Policy
- Food Services and Meal Price Increase - an increase of $0.10 for student lunch at the elementary and secondary schools. The new prices will take effect in the 2016-2017 school year. The new price for elementary lunch will be $2.25 and secondary will be $2.50.
