Ridgely Elementary School Fuel's Up to Play 60
Ridgely Elementary School kicked off its Fuel Up to Play 60 campaign for the 2014-2015 school year with a walk from Martin Sutton Park to the school on Thursday, October 9. Over 150 students, plus staff and parents walked to the school beginning at 8 a.m.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is a school nutrition and physical activity program sponsored by the National Dairy Council and the National Football League in collaboration with the United States Department of Agriculture to encourage today's youth to lead healthier lives. Fuel Up to Play 60 helps students make positive changes in their schools by improving opportunities to eat nutrient-rich foods and get at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day.
