Student-Athlete Handbook

It is the responsibility of all student-athletes to understand the information provided within the STUDENT-ATHLETEHANDBOOK.pdf. All student-athletes and parents must acknowledge receipt of the handbook each school year. Included within the handbook is valuable information pertaining to all matters of athletics, as well as information regarding student-athletes with suspected head injuries (concussions). A copy of CCPS' policy regarding Concussion Awareness, Prevention, and Support for Student Athletes can be found here.

Additionally, Caroline County Public Schools must adhere to the policies and regulations outlined in the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) as the governing body that oversees the interscholastic program for our state. Information regarding MPSSAA can be found at www.mpssaa.org.

Athletic Eligibility Form

In order for a student to participate in high school athletics, the student must have a valid physical exam on file with the school. The form, found Athletic Eligibility Form.pdf, must be completed prior to participating in athletics.  A physical is valid for a period of one calendar year beginning with the date signed by the physician.

Athletics Schedules

All high school athletics schedules can be found online at Digital Sports. Simply type in the school name and find all schedules for the year. This is the official scheduling system of the Bayside Athletic Conference so all schedules will remain current, and reflect any cancellations and reschedules.

Youth Sports Programs Use of School Property

All youth sports programs seeking to use school facilities must verify distribution of concussion awareness information to parents/guardians and receive verifiable acknowledgement of receipt. All youth sports programs will annually affirm to the CCPS their intention to comply by completing the necessary form and submitting it to the school whose grounds are being used. The form can be found here.
