Letter to the Community from Dr. Saelens

Dear Community:

Wednesday afternoon's deadly shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida, has continued to shake all of us.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families, school employees, and all those impacted by this senseless tragedy.  At the same time, this has caused everyone to increase their level of concern for the safety and well-being of all of our students and staff while at school.

Colonel Middle Teaching Team Recipients of Digital Learning Award

(PDF) Jan. 30, 2018 - The dynamic teaching team of Sara Brock, special educator, and Mary Jo Kerr, English Language Arts (ELA) educator at Colonel Richardson Middle School (CRMS), have been named co-recipients of the January 2018 Digital Learning Showcase, awarded by the Maryland Society for Educational Technology (MSET).

February Board of Education Meeting Announced

The Caroline County Board of Education will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 204 Franklin Street, Denton, Maryland in the Board Room. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. A portion of the meeting will be closed to discuss matters related to personnel, pending litigation, and/or collective bargaining negotiations pursuant to state government article 10-508 (a) (1), (8) and (9).

Caroline County Board of Education To Hold Public Work Sessions

The Caroline County Board of Education will hold two public work sessions in the month of January.

  • Joint Board Work Session with the Caroline County Commissioners at Board of Education Office, 204 Franklin Street, Denton, MD on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Public session work session begins at 6 p.m.
  • Board Work Session at Board of Education Office, 204 Franklin Street, Denton, MD on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 beginning at 7 p.m.
